Welcome to Our Website....

The Metis community of Easterville sits on the south shore of Cedar Lake in north central, Manitoba Canada. The community and area are known for its proximity to the amazing natural landscapes, abundant wildlife and northern lakes. The fishing on Cedar Lake and the surrounding lakes produces walleye, pike and whitefish with fishermen from all over the US and Canada traveling to experience the trophy fishing. Throughout the seasons you can view the bald eagles that come to nest along the shores of the local lakes and listen to the howls of the wolves as they spend the nights talking to the heavens.

Easterville is located near the Chemawaywin Cree Nation and can be accessed from Provincial Highway 327 which connects to main provincial highways #6 and #10. The Community is just over 600 kilometers from Winnipeg and has a landing strip for flights into Easterville.

The community is a proud mixture of Metis and Cree culture with local festivals and events throughout the year. The Cree language remain the primary language and the Cree culture and Metis culture are evident throughout the community.

Services in the area are a new K-12 school that serves Easterville and Chemawaywin Cree Nation. The community is home to a  arena and recreational facilities for several activities. A fully staffed Nursing station and Royal Canadian Mounted Police detachment is located with minutes of Easterville.
